GEORGIAN RESIDENCE

LEOMINSTER, HEREFORDSHIRE, UK

Yolland approached a richly layered historic home in Herefordshire with a lightness of touch, working closely with our collaborators to draw out its inherent romance rather than impose a new architectural narrative upon it.

The house itself provides an expressive and deeply textured framework. Georgian proportions, medieval fragments and later domestic additions sit together in a way that feels organically evolved rather than composed.

Across the interiors, the design language is quietly expressive. Original plasterwork, timber floors and inherited architectural details are retained as the primary material voice of the house, while new layers are introduced with restraint. Together we developed a palette of softened natural tones, warm woods, aged metals and tactile textiles that sit gently within the historic fabric, reinforcing rather than competing with it.
